Charity Outlets
All member-gardeners at the Houserville Community Garden are required to donate 10% of their produce via a charitable outlet of their choice. To facilitate that, in 2023 we established a regular food donation relationship with Abba Java Coffeehouse. Logistics of how to participate in this regular donation will be communicated to all member-gardeners via email as the harvest season begins.
In addition to this, for reference, Centre County maintains a food pantries webpage where you’ll find, among other things, a list of pantry locations throughout the county, including two in State College other than the Food Bank.
